Mykonos island – Sea & Beach cleanup with ALL FOR BLUE not profil Organization

ENGLISH: Our beloved island of Myconos couldn’t be heedless of the #KeepAegeanBlue mission. For Don Blue Yachting, the participation in the long-shore cleaning of Korfou-Ornos beach, which was organized by ALL FOR BLUE, was essential and self-evident. In this action, it also took part in the Administrative Unit of Southern Aegean, divers from Mykonos Diving Center, the Association of Secondary Education Professors, and of course students from High Schools of Mykonos.

With this action, we all showed that with a simple movement, we can make the difference. Although there was a power outage, all 400 students impressed us by staying to attend Katerina Topouzoglou seminar about the sea ecosystem preservation and plastic elimination.

After this constructive and helpful seminar, we took a certificate of attendance from the Global ALL FOR BLUE ORGANIZATION, and then we transferred to the Korfou beach. There, we all – students, volunteers, divers, lots of residents- managed to collect about 1300 kilos of garbage from the coast and the seabed!!! Among others we collected a traffic cone, a signaling traffic board, an ironing board, ropes, plastic bags, bottles, wheels, tables, baskets, building materials, and an enormous amount of plastics! …and a Louis Vuitton handbag!

The Keep Aegean Blue is the greatest action that has ever taken place in Greece that includes educational seminars, coast, and seabed cleaning. It is a cooperation of All For Blue organization with the Administrative Unit of Southern Aegean.

GREEK: Η αποστολή #KeepAegeanBlue δε θα μπορούσε να λείπει και από την αγαπημένη μας Μύκονο. Για την Don Blue Yachting ήταν αυτονόητη η συμμετοχή της στον παράκτιο καθαρισμό που πραγματοποίησε η ALL FOR BLUE στην παραλία του Κόρφου στον Ορνό. Στην δράση αυτή, συμμετείχαν η Περιφέρεια Νοτίου Αιγαίου, οι δύτες από το καταδυτικό Mykonos Diving Center, ο Σύλλογος Καθηγητών και η Δευτεροβάθμια Επιτροπή και φυσικά οι μαθητές από το ΓΕΛ & ΕΠΑΛ Μυκόνου, που έδειξαν για άλλη μια φορά ότι με μια απλή κίνηση μπορούμε να κάνουμε τη διαφορά!

Παρά το γεγονός ότι είχε πέσει το ρεύμα στο σχολείο, οι 400 μαθητές Λυκείου εντυπωσίασαν, που με ελάχιστα μέσα παρέμειναν και παρακολούθησαν το σεμινάριο της κας Κατερίνας Τοπούζογλου για την προστασία του θαλάσσιου οικοσυστήματος και την καταπολέμηση των πλαστικών. Αμέσως μετά έλαβαν όλοι το δίπλωμα παρακολούθησης από τον Παγκόσμιο Οργανισμό ALL FOR BLUE ORGANIZATION και κατευθύνθηκαν με τα ΚΤΕΛ στην παραλία του Κόρφου.

Στην παραλία αλλά και στον βυθό της, οι μαθητές, με τη βοήθεια εθελοντών, δυτών και πλήθος κόσμου συνέβαλαν ώστε να μαζευτούν περισσότερα από 1.300 κιλά σκουπιδιών !!! Μεταξύ άλλων «αλίευσαν» από την παραλία, ένα κώνο οδικής κυκλοφορίας, μια ταμπέλα από το οδικό δίκτυο, μια σιδερώστρα, σχοινιά, σακούλες, μπουκάλια, ρόδες, τραπέζια, καλάθια, οικοδομικά εργαλεία, αμέτρητα πλαστικά και άλλα αντικείμενα, όπως μια γυναικεία τσάντα Louis Vuitton!

Το Keep Aegean Blue είναι η μεγαλύτερη αποστολή εκπαιδευτικών σεμιναρίων, υποβρύχιων και παράκτιων καθαρισμών που έχει γίνει στην Ελλάδα, μια συνεργασία του Οργανισμού All For Blue organization με την Περιφέρεια Νοτίου Αιγαίου.
